
About the Role
As leader of the Pastoral ministries of the Church, the Senior Pastor will:
• Prepare and deliver sermons.
• Equip the saints for ministry.
o Teach Bible studies and other spiritual curriculum that will edify the Body of Christ.
o Train leaders to be effective in the performance of their duties.
o Teach Evangelistic principles for the winning of lost souls.
o Provide discipleship training that will equip the Body of Christ to be literal followers of Jesus Christ
and make Disciples.
• Lead Officers, Boards and Committees in vision implementation of short-term and long-term plans.
o Serve as ex-officio member of the RCCC Governing Boards.
o Maintain board governance and boundary principles.
o Lead and direct the affairs of the church.
o Lead, equip, and provide guidance to ministers and/or pastors in ministerial duties and ordinations.
o Lead in planning, supervising, and administering of all ministries of the Church.
o Serve as moderator of annual church conferences.
o Implement vision for congregational care.
• Provide pastoral counseling and minister to the sick, dying, and bereaved.
• Conduct weddings and funerals, providing appropriate preparation and support.
• Lead in observance of the ordinances (The Lord’s Supper and Baptism).
• Recognize the high visibility of their life and abstain from any appearance of evil (Romans 14:1- 23; 1 Timothy 3:1-7; Titus 1:7-9).
• Provide leadership in times of transition and changing seasons.
• Be flexible and versatile as needs of the congregational change.
• Stay up-to-date on technological advances in communications and use of social media.
• Provide expansion, support and growth of various ministries.

Requirements
Pastoral Experience – A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Pastor or Lead ministerial role is preferred.
Education – Master of Divinity (M. Div.) degree or equivalent is preferred. Doctor of Ministry (D. Min.) degree or equivalent is preferred. Degrees must be from an accredited college, university, or seminary. Also will be considered are licensing programs of study.
Desirable Traits & Characteristics – A Pastor must evidence love for people, empathy, compassion, collaboration, positive engagement style, interpersonal relations, and cultural awareness, in addition to solid preaching, teaching, communication, discernment (good judgment) and administrative skills. Most of all, we desire a pastor who is spiritually aligned with the Holy Scriptures.
Denominational Affiliation - Baptist is strongly preferred (however Holy Ghost filled, non-denominational backgrounds will also be considered).

About the Company
Redemption Christian Center Church (RCCC) of Hammond, LA. was founded in August of 1987; is prayerfully seeking a full-time Senior Pastor, called by God, who will serve as spiritual leader of God’s people. The Senior Pastor is Servant-Leader, Teacher, Challenger, Trainer, Initiator, Counselor, Administrator, and overall Visionary for the Church. He/She shall structure the process for the casting and implementation of vision for the church, while providing leadership and supervision for implementing such vision through the Governing Boards and various ministries of the church. The Senior Pastor is the leader of the church and is responsible for leading the church to the fulfillment of its mission in accordance with the teaching of the Holy scriptures, Church covenant, and Evangelistic principles necessary for discipleship and the winning of lost souls. The Senior Pastor is the final authority on all pulpit matters at all times. This position involves the exercise of sound judgment and discretion at all times.
